Salut September!
What's kickin' it in fashion at the moment for me?Mary-Kate Olsen is one. Plus faux fur pieces - like neck pieces (Russian style, like what I'm wearing right now) and especially vests with gorgeous fur hoods. I also like Karen Walker sunglasses - and the above modelled by Mary-Kate reminds me of Walker's current sunglasses style. (Above picture from Mary-Kate's shoot with Nylon magazine).
Inspiration workspaces with the aid of a wall collage - or what some people also like to call 'vision boards' - a board that is covered with pictures of things that encompass your dreams in life + soul's desires.
Garment racks: an excellent means of displaying your clothes and gaining clarity in managing your own wardrobe (which will be incredibly useful in assembling outfits).
Street style + faux leather bags - more in the deep, shiny black vinyl sense. This picture was taken from the blog: http://www.chictopia.com/pleasurebabyyFriday, July 31, 2009
No One's Better Sake

I just picked up my order, which was the self-titled album by Little Joy - a great band formed by Fab Moretti from the Strokes, Rodrigo Amarante from the Brazillian band Los Hermanos and Binki Shapiro. They sing such great tunes that remind me of feel-good summer times. They're good for bringing the summer sunshine to the harsh winter breeze! Check out a handful of their songs here.Monday, July 13, 2009
Somewhere

Miss Coppola has been busy directing her new feature, 'Somewhere,' which stars the likes of some dude from Jackass as well as the little sister of Dakota Fanning. I thought I might pay a little tribute to one of the greatest directors of our time...

How to Be
Okay, I really want to see this.
Robert Pattinson's new movie - where he plays a bit of a dork - of course, the complete opposite to Edward Cullen. Nice to see him branching - hehe, it's worth quite a few chuckles:

Kristen Stewart
Love this footage from Nylon TV. Great backing tracks to go with.
P.S. And I simply adore the jacket Kristen is wearing at the end of the clip. I wonder where I could get one..?

The Art of Alain De Botton
De Botton is one of my new favourite things. Oh, I mean authors..! If only I were able to go to one of his talks while he toured Australia. Well there is always the School of Life blog and his collection of beautifully written books. He is perhaps my favourite modern-day philosopher. After having just read 'The Art of Travel,' I have just begun his new book entitled, 'The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work.' ~*~

Two Days in Paris

I watched this movie a little while ago now, but I remember it was a lot of laughs. Julie Delpy, who also stars in this film, both wrote and directed the movie. She even cast her own parents in the movie, to play her character's parents! A funny film, the kind that I usually wouldn't rent out, that pokes fun at the contrast between American and Parisian behaviours and ways of living. Tres bien!
